I'm continuing the weaving project I started last week. I had an issue with how I had tied off the warp on my loom, so I had to untie and redo that step; but, since each time I make a mistake I learn more, I'm still considering it a success.
You can't see much of the weaving itself because I had just advanced the warp (rolled it down onto the front beam to give myself more space to weave) but I think you'll get the idea. The piece is intended to be a mat for the end table on Mike's side of the couch. (He hates the one that's there, because it has-- oh, the horror!-- BEADS on the edges. This is, of course, just as unacceptable as beads or fringe on throw pillows. Just ask him. 😆)
You can see in the photo that the yarn was chosen because it picks up some of the colors in our living room rug.

I'll keep working on it, and I promise to share the finished product in a future post!
