This week's project was inspired by a painted tic-tac-toe set I saw at a local vegan eatery. It was so cute, I thought "I need to make something like that!" And so I did.

First, I painted the base: a wooden tray which provides both a place to paint the board and storage for the pieces. (I like things that are "self-contained.)

Then, I painted the pieces:

I used a brush-on gloss finish to seal the pieces and put felt pads on the bottom of them, and voila...
