Our Holy and Obsolete Symbols I ( From M.A.’s “Eulogy for the Giant Tortoises” ) With someone so suboptimal in charge - Taking a feller buncher To everything that matters - you Recall the schoolyard bully, Holding all under his hideous Gaze as the teacher looked away. One cannot make the false True just by claiming it enough. Except in minds who lack Wisdom to recognize wrong.

Game Over She got ahold of my copy of the game of life Just to make it so I couldn’t take another wife The pink pegs are gone, now I’ve got to go on With just the blues She took the swamps and the islands and the underground seas My days of playing Stasis have been taken from me I’ve still got the forests but I’m missing the trees Like I always do I went looking for my chess set, pretty sure what I would find My king stuck in a corner, her queen out on e5 No pawns left for pr

A couple variations of the Glade Goggle. Converted the photo to a black or white dither. The pattern of dots is generated by the computer program. This pattern is similar to the pattern of dots your inkjet printer makes when printing a photo.

Another ski area trail layout. Every time I do these I almost get a sense of what it's like to ski there. Even if it no longer exsists. So this is an example of a "lost" or "retired' ski area. You may of heard of it. It's just outside of Franklin, NH and while it no longer hosts skiers and snowboarders it is an established bike park.

From a selfie I took in the middle of a tree glade trail at Jay Peak, VT. There are a lot of "goggle" graphics for sale showing an ambiguous mountain in the lens of a pair of googles. The designers really don't put much effort into specificity. It's just a pair of goggles with an inset of a genaric mountain to print on whatever you want. But my goggles are real googles with a refection of real trees and real snow. Print that in your t-shirt and wear it.

I've been a good skier by doing a lot of that but a bad artist by not doing that. So to catch up I'll post what I've been working on this week to fill in the gaps. Ive been resting all week and have been catching up. Below is the latest ski trail layout. It's of a small area in norther Vermont. Owned by the family of Olympic and FIS World Cup alpine ski racer Bobby Cochran. An example of a ski area trail layout.

The loom is warped-- much to my shoulder's dismay-- but the rest of the St. Patrick's Day runner project is on hold until PT (hopefully) makes further weaving possible. This week's song has been an earworm all week, coming and going on an almost daily basis: XTC's "Mayor of Simpleton".

This week's submission is a haiku inspired by my stupid shoulder, which prevented me from warping my loom for my next project. 🤷♀️ Grand plans for TGAP Foiled by bodily treason. Deadline whooshes by. This week's song: "I Hope That I Get Old Before I Die" by They Might Be Giants
