Game Over

She got ahold of my copy of the game of life

Just to make it so I couldn’t take another wife

The pink pegs are gone, now I’ve got to go on

With just the blues

She took the swamps and the islands and the underground seas

My days of playing Stasis have been taken from me

I’ve still got the forests but I’m missing the trees

Like I always do

I went looking for my chess set, pretty sure what I would find

My king stuck in a corner, her queen out on e5

No pawns left for promotion, just lay me on my side

One look at my position and I’m totally resigned

She must have sunk my Battleship, it’s just an empty sea

I can’t play Operation, there’s no water on the knee

I’m down to one red checker, I couldn’t even play Connect Two

My candy land’s abandoned, ‘cause the kids have run away

My Stratego’s incompleto, all the troops are MIA

In Monopoly my properties are gone except for Baltic Avenue

Now my mouse trap don’t work, she took off with half the parts

Can’t even play solitaire, she took the two of hearts

She left the target hanging there but she’s got all the darts

She’s seven moves ahead of me and I don’t know where to start

I won’t get far in Scrabble, ‘cause she took the U and I

It’s enough to make the folks at Parker Brothers cry

I’m just picking up the pieces, at least the ones I can still find

Im looking for Miss Scarlet but I haven’t got a clue

I’d say I’m sorry but she took my Pop-O-Matic too

Now I know the game is over, ‘cause I finally won at playing the fool.
