Heather Ouellette-Cygan: Week 2 of 208
The Murmuration Always we in amazement watch The cyclone black and glimmering, Starlings flock and fall In formation. How can I Live with such a heart? Poets always ask this question. We try to heal with words What is broken beyond fixing. The sky darkens in the evening; They are flying away, As we have forced them. My chimney is blocked - you Cannot come in - but also, There is no fire to warm My bleeding feet.

Robyn Anne Piper: Week 2 of 208
In the interest of keeping stress down and creativity flowing, I've decided that some of my submissions this time around will be "Workz in Progress,", rather than completed Workz. This is partly because I now have a rigid heddle loom and want to spend time weaving, but I'm also realistic enough to realize that I'm unlikely to finish most weaving projects in a single week. Fellow TwinGeek Tricia Hunt kindly taught me the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom in December, an

The first sighting of the man in the boat, was by Hector Rainwright, on Thursday afternoon at 2:47. The exact time was known, because Hector had just finished the first lap of his neighborhood mile, and he was paying attention to his splits. As he rounded the corner, and was about to mark the start of the second lap, his peripheral vision alerted him to some movement in the side yard of the house located on the corner property. He experienced a distinct sense of something

"Faux Français" Here for consideration is an early logo for my t-shirt designs. I wanted a word for word translation of Ski Classic New Hampshire. A "normal" french speaker would just say Ski Classique New Hampshire. But I wanted something more pretentious. Nailed it.

Brian Weeks: Week 001 of 208
Last week, my husband and I received the keys to our first home. I wanted to make something special, and a custom house number befitting The Two Kings seemed to be just the thing. I also made a coordinating name plaque that would have likely been attached to our mailbox in a different time period, or perhaps at the front door. However, plastering your name on the outside of your house isn't safe, so it will live indoors.

“There’s a man in a boat down the street.” “Now? You mean, right now? You just saw him?” “Yes. He could be gone by now though I suppose, he was moving along at a good pace.” Virginia pulled her still encapsulated arm from the mid calf, down filled, no messing around winter coat. Kellie breathed in intentionally through her nose, counting for 4 seconds then let the breath out for an even 4. She wondered what else her mother had seen on the short drive over to her house on F

A Fresh Pencil for a Fresh Hell “ For years, the belief that poetry is here to help us traveled with me everywhere, tucked into the pockets of suitcases, backpacks. ” ~Naomi Shihab Nye Sharpened to perfection, this Natural Blackwing, with the hope That all our fears are Wrong. That the coming storm Will blot it all out. Erase it, Somehow. Snowflakes shut Down roads, so only our pens Can travel. Shut down contempt, So that our new neighbors Might ride on

It was a whirlwind three-day festival of pain and excitement getting everything in place for this fourth iteration of TGAP so-- for my inaugural submission (see what I did there?)-- I give you... www.twingeekz.com the redux! Granted, the bones of this version of the site were formed back in February 2020 when we briefly discussed starting another round of TGAP, but then it languished for almost five years until Jim did what had to be done: he gave me a deadline. He did so
