In the interest of keeping stress down and creativity flowing, I've decided that some of my submissions this time around will be "Workz in Progress,", rather than completed Workz. This is partly because I now have a rigid heddle loom and want to spend time weaving, but I'm also realistic enough to realize that I'm unlikely to finish most weaving projects in a single week.
Fellow TwinGeek Tricia Hunt kindly taught me the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom in December, and before the day was out I had already decided what I wanted for Christmas! I've had great fun searching for yarn, and I even found some really great stuff for a decent price at the Etc Shoppe, a local secondhand store.
Here are a few pics of my current project: a scarf made from a wonderfully fuzzy rainbow yarn from Etc.
I'm 12" in, so far!

A closeup of the weave.
It's fascinating how different the yarn looks in the skein versus in the weave.
